Since 2015, Jagrut Organization has been working at the grassroots level in tribal-dominated regions of Maharashtra and has emerged as a recognized non-governmental organization (NGO) in the state.Our primary focus is on promoting sustainable livelihoods, rural development, education, research, and creating awareness about human and environmental rights. In addition, we are committed to enabling tribal communities especially Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) as well as other marginalized sections to access various social security and welfare schemes of the state and central governments through the path of constitutional equality.

To promote justice and equity through non-violent approaches while prioritizing the most marginalized communities. To strengthen good governance by building sustainable community institutions and to establish effective partnerships with the government for the restoration of forest areas.

Jagrut is a grassroots NGO working to empower tribal, marginalized, and vulnerable groups in Chandrapur and Gadchiroli districts. It closely works with Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs), especially the Kolam and Madia communities.
